About Crypto Plainly
Crypto Plainly exists for one person: the complete beginner who wants to understand crypto without the hype, the jargon, or the pressure to "buy now." We explain how things work in plain English, compare the tools honestly, and always put the risks front and centre.
Our principles
- Education, not advice. We explain how to do things and how they work. We never tell you what to buy or predict prices — that's not something anyone can honestly do.
- Risk first. Every guide states plainly that crypto is volatile and you can lose money. We'd rather lose a click than mislead a beginner.
- Plain language. If a nine-year-old couldn't follow the gist, we rewrite it.
- Honest comparisons. We publish the downsides of every exchange. A review with no cons is an advert.
How we compare exchanges
We rank exchanges on four beginner-relevant factors, using publicly verifiable information: trading fees, ease of use for a first-timer, security features and track record, and supported regions and verification. We do not score on token prices, promotions, or hype. Because fees and availability change and differ by country, we always tell you to confirm the current details on the exchange's own site before signing up.
How we make money
Some of our links are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you sign up through them — at no extra cost to you. This never changes our rankings or what we tell you about the risks. See our full disclosure and risk warning.
